Becker Student Becomes Pro Cornhole Player is making waves in cornhole. Hunter Thorson, who finished high school in 2024 and is heading to St. Cloud State University, is now a pro cornhole player. He’s only the second person from Minnesota to go pro in this sport, after Lexi Hugeback.
Hunter got into cornhole about four years ago when a neighbor invited him to play. He then did a school project on it and started joining tournaments, including one in South Carolina that helped him go pro.
Hunter has even been on ESPN. He and his partner Carson Getty won a doubles match in a big tournament, which was shown on TV. He found this exciting but nerve-wracking the American Cornhole Association Leagues.
