Tournament Recap and Details

Tournament Recap and Details, This Year’s Tournament was an amazing success!! Congratulations to the winners 1st place went to Get in the Hole, 2nd Place: Super Platonic Friends, and 3rd Place: Whatever.  The weather was unbelievable and the competition was incredible. We had a great turnout and we hope all of you who attended spread the word about our little event so that it can some day become a big event! Thank you all for coming out and supporting the tournament and for helping to make it so friggin awesome! If you are just hearing about The H.C.C.H.A. and our tournament, fill out the form on the contact section of this website to be added to the email list for updates on future events!

The Humboldt County Corn Hole Association is excited about this year’s tournament. Our 4th annual 4th of July tournament will be held on Saturday July the 6th.  The  tournament is a non sanctioned, not for profit  cornhole tournament held in Humboldt County CA, fueled by burritos, beer, family, friendship, and fierce competition.

There are only a couple differences with this year’s tournament. One is that we are asking you all to leave the dogs at home, as much as we all love our dogs they are dirty beasts and they poo a lot (some more than others) so out of respect for the homeowners who are gracious enough to let us trash their property every year, let’s leave the dogs out of the equation this year, thanks. Speaking of trashing their property, anyone sober enough to help clean up at the end of the day is more than welcome to hang around and help us!
The other difference is  the price, and the method(s) of payment. With this site we are able to have teams pre-register, AND pre-pay. This year’s tournament will be $25 per team in advance, and $30 on the day of the tournament. If you click on the register link above you can register and pay in advance, which makes things way easier on us. Remember that this event is a not for profit event, and in the event that there is any extra $ after, it will be donated to a local charity.  We try to keep the pricing as close to our expenses as possible so we hope the price hike sits well with all of you. Your $25 gets you a commemorative t-shirt for each team member, keg beer and prizes and trophies for the winners and honorable mentions.
The tournament will be run exactly the same way as last year, with no complaining or whining from any of the competitors, trash talking is encouraged, whining is not.
The losers of round one will all compete a second time in round two, with the winners of round one going straight to round three. From round three on it will be single elimination. This way everyone at least gets to play two rounds before hitting the beer and burritos for the duration of the tournament.
The Final will be a best of three game series, with the winner taking all the glory.
We will once again have Alma’s burrito truck out feeding us so remember to bring cash for food and for tipping them!
