Fiesta Topeka Festivities Cornhole Tournaments: Food Sales and Royalty. Fiesta Topeka celebrations are happening now. The queen and king candidates are selling food to raise money. This is happening at the Marlo Cuevas Balandran Activities Center.
Three young women are competing to become queen this year.
One candidate, Julissa Hughes Martinez, talked about upcoming events on a local TV show. The king candidate Esteban Tetuan and publicity co-chair Renee Franklin joined her.
Julissa and Esteban have already had their first food sales events. Their next ones are on June 10th and June 17th. They are proud to support their community and school. Family and friends are helping them.
Renee said Fiesta Topeka has activities before the big festival in July. There will be a pickleball tournament on June 8th and 9th. A cornhole tournament is planned for June 22nd indoors at the Activities Center.
