Magic Show and Cornhole Tournament at Brewer’s Riverwalk Festival. A person who does magic tricks and a game called cornhole are coming to Brewer’s Riverwalk Festival this Saturday. The fourth yearly Riverwalk Festival will have new fun things like a magic show, the cornhole game, and a meal with spaghetti.

The festival activities will start at 9 in the morning on Saturday and go all the way until night. Things that are happening again this year are live music, dancing, theater shows, fireworks, tables for local sellers, a crafts fair, food trucks, and activities for kids.

A free bus will take people from the Joseph L. Ferris Community Center to downtown and the Riverwalk area. The city and local businesses are organizing this all-day event to celebrate Brewer’s long walking trail next to the river. The trail has become something the community is proud of. Around 2,500 people came last year, and the city hopes even more people come this year, said Renee Doble, who works for Brewer’s economic development.

“Last year the weather was not good,” said Doble. “This year, we hope for better weather and more people coming. We are excited for our fourth year and hope for even more people this year.”

Something new this year is a local magician named Magic Wes. He will do a magic show in the Children’s Garden at 11:30 in the morning, then walk along the river trail doing magic tricks.

Other new music groups are the Synergy Twins and I Want My MTV Retro Band. They will perform in the Children’s Garden at 2:30 and 7:30 in the evening.

A new cornhole tournament will also start at noon at 71 Center St. Teams can pay $50 to sign up online, then come at 11 in the morning on Saturday. The teams that come in first, second and third place will get a trophy and cash prize.

The American Legion group will serve a spaghetti meal at 5 in the evening at the Joseph L Ferris Community Center.
