Cornhole Tournament Raises Funds for Child with Cancer. A cornhole tournament was held to raise money for 5-year-old Ava who has leukemia. The “Ava’s Day” event was organized by Team Ava to support her cancer fight. It took place at Nichols College with cornhole games, raffles, and an auction.
About 30 teams played and food trucks donated their services. Ava’s aunt said the community support has been a positive light during this difficult time, even from strangers. The funds raised will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help other families. Ava is receiving 2 years of treatment for her leukemia.
