The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and American Cornhole Organization (ACO) are hosting the ACO/AAU Junior World Championships of Cornhole on July 19-20, 2024 in Owensboro, Kentucky for young cornhole players. The AAU promotes amateur sports across the U.S., while the ACO governs the sport of cornhole.
The championships will have singles, doubles, and quads (4-player team) events across five age divisions from 8-18 years old. Players can compete in all three events for $50. Awards include medals, shirts, and special prizes for top overall performers.

Play cornhole for young people across the country
The AAU is all about promoting and growing amateur sports and fitness programs. The AAU’s belief of “Sports For Everyone, Forever” is now shared by nearly 800,000 members and 150,000 volunteers across more than 50 sports programs and 55 districts in the United States.
The American Cornhole Organization is the governing body for the sport of cornhole. Started in 2005, the ACO provides official cornhole rules, approved products, world rankings, the ACO PRO Tour, and other cornhole events. The ACO’s mission is to increase awareness and competition of the sport of cornhole by overseeing the rules and regulations, hosting tournaments, and building a community of players, both casual and professional.

ACO/AAU Junior Cornhole Cup Winners: 1 player from each age group will get a special award for the best total performance in all three events: Singles, Doubles & Quads
Age Groups for Junior Cornhole
- 10U = Ages 8, 9 and 10
- 12U = Ages 11 and 12
- 14U = Ages 13 and 14
- 16U = Ages 15 and 16
- 18U = Ages 17 and 18
Players cannot play in a younger age group (but can play in an older group).
Boys and girls play together in the same age groups.
Maximum of 64 players per age group.
