Young Professionals Host Cornhole Tournament at LakeFest, On July 28, the La Porte Young Professionals group held a cornhole tournament at Stone Lake Beach..
Teams of two paid $30 to play. Winners got prize money, and leftover money went to the Young Professionals group.
Lindsay Kneifel from the group said, “This event gets people to the beach. Cornhole is popular in La Porte, so we chose it for LakeFest. Local high school students made the game boards.”
27 teams played while people watched from the Beach House. Jet Ski races happened on the lake at the same time.
Janelle Phelps, a player, said, “This brings people together for fun. We played last year too and hope to come back next year.”
