Spring Community Cornhole Event with Music and Vendors. There may be a little rain, but don’t let that stop you. Manahawkin Baptist Church is having a fun spring event on May 18th. The event will raise money for the local nonprofit Hearts of Mercy.

Starting at 11am, there will be activities and food behind the church at 400 Beach Ave. Live music will be playing. Musicians performing include Shore Talent Productions, Billy T. Midnight, Billy Simmons, Denise Miller, Elaine Orzechowski, Brian Clymer, the Jack Freddieson Band, Dave Basile, Meghan Colon and Sean Hanlon.

Kids can play in a bounce house. There will be crafters and vendors selling things like laser engraving, jewelry, sewing projects, shell designs and crafts. Two authors will be selling and signing their books. Some salespeople will be there selling items like bags, containers and scented items.

The event runs rain or shine until 4pm.

There will also be a cornhole tournament with cash prizes for the top 3 teams. Only 32 teams of 2 players can enter. Teams will play elimination rounds. Teams knocked out early play in a consolation round for 3rd place. All teams get at least 2 games. Any age can play.

Cash prizes depend on how many teams enter. Check-in for the tournament starts at 9:30am and ends at 10:45am. The tournament starts at 11am.

Teams must pay $30 to enter online by May 16th or at the event check-in. Only teams of 2 ready players can register.
