The Adrian College cornhole team had an exciting weekend at the American Cornhole League (ACL) Open in Hamilton, Ohio. The tournament was packed with talent, featuring 30-50 teams in each bracket.
The team kicked things off on Friday with a solid fourth-place finish in the College Doubles Bracket, thanks to Alex Weaver and Abigail Trepkowski. Saturday brought more competitive action, with multiple team duos showing their skills:
- Weaver and Trepkowski, along with Gage McMillan and Mason Foote, went 4-2 in the Tier 1 Doubles Bracket
- Blaine Proefke and Jackson Newman battled to a 3-3 record in Tier 2
- Juan Alvarez and Abbie Sawicki competed in Tier 3
Sunday was all about singles competitions. Notable performances included:
- Weaver landing a 33rd place in the Advanced Bracket
- Trepkowski grabbing 13th place in the Competitive Bracket
- Alvarez securing a 13th place finish in the Intermediate Bracket
Next up, the team heads to Whitewater, Wisconsin on November 23, aiming to win more bids for the National Championship in South Carolina.
